We all remember making cute cards for our dads each Father’s Day, but that didn’t really start until we could hold a crayon, did it? So if you’re a bit stuck on what to get your partner “from baby,” here are a few sweet and easy Father’s Day gifts that will truly be treasured for years to come.
Most cell phones have a great camera these days. So grab it and start snapping away! Use a chalkboard or paper and sharpie to write “Happy Father’s Day,” a personalized message or quote. Then either have your baby hold or sit near the sign. Print and put in a card or frame it for the special occasion.
You may already have footprints of your baby on his or her birth certificate, but trust me, you can never have enough of these! They’re the essence of your baby at that precise moment in time. Get non-toxic, colorful paint and some white card stock. Then write the date and a message in small letters in the corner. Frame, wrap and you’re good to go!
Shoes to Fill
This is another good frame-able gift, that doubles as wall art. Grab Dad’s shoes and place them next to baby’s. Take a ton of photos, trying different combinations and angles. Use different background surfaces too, such as grass outside or the wood floor. Once you’ve got the perfect shot, get the photo printed, frame it and write a sweet message on the back about how there are no greater footsteps to follow.
We’re not talking the kind of toolbox filled with a hammer and wrench. This one is for all the “tools” that a caring father needs to care for his baby. Attach a cute sign and fill the box with diapers, wipes, onesies, baby wash, a thermometer and so on. Anything that’s relevant for the stage your baby is in at the moment! This one’s also a good one for Fathers to-be.
