When you’re expecting–especially for the first time–it can be hard to wrap your head around the idea that you’ve got a little person living inside you. But day by day, as your baby grows and moves, everything starts to become more real. Even more so when you’re handed those grainy ultrasound photos, and are actually able to feel the heel of a tiny foot pushing your belly out!
The truth is, babies are in their own little world inside there. But you’re part of it too! And as I mention in the Baby Nurse Bible, there are many ways you and your partner can bond with and care for your baby over the course of nine months. From reading stories out loud at night and rubbing your belly, to practicing relaxation techniques and eating healthy foods, your baby will benefit and hear all the sounds around you (albeit muffled). Take a peek at the amazing video below of a baby just a few moments before exiting the amniotic sac, (and don’t hesitate to get in touch with questions you may have about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding or baby care!)
