BBNN has developed the following caregiver trainings for nannies and parents alike to help aid you in expanding your knowledge on real-world topics such as Positive Discipline, Sleep Coaching and more. All of our classes are research based and created by experts from the Boston medical community, an author of award-winning parenting books, sought after sleep consultants, and early childhood educators.
Annie Getz is an Advanced Newborn Care Expert and Certified Postpartum Doula with 11 years of newborn and maternal care experience. Additionally, Annie is a certified Newborn Care Specialist and Birth Doula.
Kelsey Dickson is Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny’s eLearning Manager. She graduated with her degree in Early Childhood Education and completed her practicum in a Reggio Emilia based toddler classroom. In addition, Kelsey nannied for over 13 years and worked at an accredited early learning center for a year before becoming a mother. In addition, she is a Certified Potty Training Expert with her training straight from the expert, Jamie Glowacki, the author of the best seller Oh Crap! Potty Training.
Carole Kramer-Arsenault is the CEO and founder of Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny. She has years of experience working with newborns as a lactation consultant, sleep coach, and of course an RN specializing in Obstetrics and Maternal Health. In addition, she is the award winning author of 
Kaitlin McCarthy is a registered nurse with years of experience as a veteran Newborn Care Specialist. She is a seasoned EMT in both the pre-hospital field and clinical hospital setting. In addition, Kaitlin is the owner of 
Fiona MacWhinnie is a registered nurse and Newborn Care Expert. Fiona graduated with her degree in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2019 and completed her bachelors in nursing at Northeastern University in 2021.
Erin Taylor is a certified parent and family coach with her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. She is the author of two books and host of the Powerful Parenting for Today’s Kids podcast. Erin is happily married and a mother of four.
Elizabeth H. Ekborg is a hospital chaplain committed to providing compassionate presence to patients and families as well as a trained Death and Dying Doula. She holds a Master’s degree from Boston College School of Theology and Ministry. Elizabeth is a Hatha certified yoga instructor, Kundalini, and certified in school yoga teacher through Kripalu.
Ashley Gugliotta has a degree in Sociology and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Special Education at Bridgewater State University. In addition, she is the mother to three young children.
Laurie Giosi graduated with her degree in Physical Therapy. She is a preschool teacher in Massachusetts and previously worked as a nanny recruiter. Additionally, she is the mother to two grown children.

Amy Tierney has over 30 years of experience working as a lead teacher and director for childcare centers in the area. She went to Framingham State University for Psychology and Early Childhood Education and has a true passion for young children.

Jacqueline Stanford-Smith is a licensed teacher currently overseeing the Learning Center at a private school. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Communication Studies. Jackie then pursued a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She has sixteen years of experience working with children with learning differences and has taught in sub-separate, inclusion, and general elementary education classes. In 2017 she published her first book about inclusivity in education titled, Possibilities.
Doreen Barton is a senior BBN&N Newborn Care Expert with 20 years of newborn experience. She has over 15 years of Sleep Coaching experience with infants. Doreen specializes in working with multiples, tackling sleep hurdles, and providing parental guidance.

Maria Cusack is a Certified Pre/Postnatal Health Coach certified by the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. She is also Nutritious Life Certified by the Nutritious Life Studio. Maria has over 10 years of experiences working with new moms, moms-to-be, newborns, and toddlers.

Newborn Care Expert Training:
I enjoyed both courses and learned info that I hadn’t in a previous course, so I’m appreciative that I was able to take both! I especially enjoyed the breastfeeding module.
Nanny Safety Course:
The “Nanny Safety Course” is not only a good refresher for someone who has been in this field for a while, but it sparked a renewed sense of focus and really motivated me to be intentional about the care that I give and the quality I will always strive to provide.
Sleep Coaching 101 Course:As first time parents we were very nervous to sleep train; no one likes to hear their baby cry. This class helped us feel informed and secure in our decision. We love that the program ensures the baby never feels abandoned or alone and actively supports their independent sleep.
After implementing the program our four month old is sleeping 12 solid hours a night. This was definitely the right decision for our family, I sincerely feel like a better parent. With a full night of sleep I am more focused and engaged with my sweet baby.
Nanny Safety Training:
I found the training full useful information. I have had experience working with young children since I was 12 years old. It’s very hard to cover every single topic that can occur while watching children. The training did a very good job covering all kinds of topics. Such as bathing a baby, talking with parents, and safety issues. I thought it was a useful training to have and anyone who hasn’t been working with children long should really participate in it. Although overtime we can get comfortable and forget things, so every few years I think it’s a great idea for everyone to go over. It’s a good refresher course to remind us of the things we may have forgotten.
Covid trainings:I found it very helpful to take some trainings before starting my position. The covid training was factual and easy to understand. All the trainings provide the nannies with resources and information on who to call for support and answers to questions moving forward.
Sleep Coaching 101 Course:
As a new mom with a now 10 week old and no baby experience I’ve turned to as many resources as possible, especially when it comes to sleeping. The BBNN sleep training course, along with the Newborn 101 book, are the resources I continue to refer back to. The online course was so easy to navigate, saved my progress, and used both PowerPoint and video which I found incredibly helpful. The content not only provided a descriptive way to sleep coach my baby when the appropriate time comes, but also great background information to help me understand the process, which has given me more patience!

Nanny Safety Training and Professionalism in the Workplace
I took the training with Boston Baby Nurse and Nanny and received 2 certifications I had no idea were available to receive before knowing about BBNN. I am now certified in the knowledge of Nanny safety training and professionalism in the workplace. I can now add these to my resume and have a slightly elevated edge. The training was really fast, while still being extremely informative. I loved that it gave a variety of tools while teaching me such as PowerPoints, articles to download as well as videos to watch. I plan to use Boston Baby Nurse and Nanny for much more informative resources and certifications to continue in my career of childcare so the parents and corporations I work for can see I am qualified in my demeanor and on paper.
