Screening Process

The team at Boston Baby Nurse & Nanny takes the safety and quality of our care very seriously. We implement a rigorous screening process to carefully hand-pick the perfect candidates for our families. From resume reviews, phone screens, background checks, and online presence searches, you can be assured you’ll be welcoming a trustworthy and responsible caregiver into your home. Step 1: Resume

Thorough review of resume and applications.

Step 2: Initial Screening

Phone screen, formal resume review, and online presence search.

Step 3: Interviews

 Face to face interviews. Candidate engages in at least one face to face, behavior-based interview. This part of the screening process is designed to uncover how a nanny reacts under certain stressful conditions. During these meetings, candidates are asked questions relating to their prior experiences, availability, safety practices and social distancing theories.

Step 4: Reference Check

Thorough reference check. We speak directly to each reference and employer.

Step 5: Safety & Background Checks

A detailed screening of the following is conducted:

  • National criminal search
  • National sex offender search
  • County criminal search – all counties lived in for the past 7 years
  • Social security trace, alias search, address history and verification
  • Motor Vehicle / Driving Record
  • Professionally Outsourced Social Media & Online Presence Screening

Upon Hiring

After hiring, BBN&N provides professional development and virtual trainings for all nannies. BBN&N also offers unlimited support for families and nannies throughout the entirety of the relationship.
